Kelo v. New London decision expands the use of eminent domain.

Supreme Court, by a 5 to 4 margin, rules that job creation and expansion of a city’s tax base can constitute “public purpose,” which is consistent with the principle of “public use” under which public agencies may engage in eminent domain land takings.
